Post 5.0 throttle body
Ok so i've have the 5.0 throttle body on my car already and running with a 2.3L tps but I ordered the 5.0 tps and am trying to get it setup in my car. The old pigtail for the 2.3 is an orange 5v reference line, a green which is the signal line and black which is ground i'm assuming. Now on the 5.0 throttle position sensor I have a signal return line, 5v reference line and a TP line which I have no idea what that is. Anyone know how these should wire up to make this work correctly? Need to know to see if this tps fixes some of my problems and the soon I get a reply the soon I can tweak and test to see if it will get my car running. Thanks in advance.

not on mine bud, unfortunately not sure whats up, but the iac backing sits so close to the tps that we had to break some of the molding off and bend the pins and use some terminal connectors to get it to fit, which is why i'm asking about the wiring, i'm using an old tps I had and cut the connect off it and tying the terminals into it to allow me to use a quick disconnect, just need to know how the wires go.

Ya turbo the tps. Found the problem i was having though, had to make some modifications to the tps to get it to work and also found out the throttle body is upside down on my car due to where the throttle cable sits. Now that I have the TPS on there and working correctly I fell into another problem. Now that the tps is on there the idle on the car won't stick. Like if I start the car it will rev the engine up then fall on its face and die like its starving for air. Now while I was looking in the 94-95 mustang manual at autozone apparently the sn95 has an idle air screw on the top of the throttle body but due to the positioning on my setup its right above the valve cover. Now if I try to play with that screw do you think that will help alleviate my idle problems? Also what should the tps voltage be at to let the car run really good? I've got it sitting at like .955 at idle right now.

Define calibrate? Like disconnect the battery and let the car do a self calibration? or is there something entirely different here? Also any idea where the line for the 5v reference runs to? Its only producing a 1v ref instead of the 5v ref like it should. Does it connect into a fusable link like most of the components in the engine bay? Or do you think there might be something else? We tested the line at the tps and the computer and we're only getting a 1v ref at the ecm so is there any other areas I need to look at and think about fixing? Reason I ask is i'm tapped off the 5v ref off the vane and I think when I'm full on throttle its causing some huge issues for me also. Thanks in advance turbo your my hero bud :-) OH I finally got some rims for it. I picked up a set of svt rims that are basically brand new for $100 Also should have some more videos and such on soon. Gonna take the car to the dyno soon as I get it performing nicely and also take it out to the test and tune night at the track to see what I can pull in the quarter. Thanks again turbo.

Issue found but nothing that we thought it was. Apparently with a vacuum of 20 on the car system my blow off valve was opening up when it shouldn't. BOV was opening at 15 vacuum causing my car to rev up to 20 then fall down due to the BOV opening up and allowing air to blow out till it comes down to 15 rinse and repeat. Looking to order a new BOV any recommendations for a good BOV?

oops forgot to add which one is best for our cars would you say turbo? I don't want to run into this problem again in less than 3 months on a brand new BOV. Link whichever BOV you recommend and i'll probably get it.

Case you need it, 88 turbocoupe motor, la2 ecu, 5.0 throttle body, gutted upper, 3" to 2.25" exhaust till I put the new exhaust on, t3/t4 hybrid .63a/r exhaust housing, with an isuzu front mount intercooler.
