any one ever done this? Im lookin at pickin one up and probally doin some autocross racing. I hear the t5 is tougher than the t9 it comes with. can i just pull out t9 and put t9 bellhousing on t5 and go or is there other modifications i need to make?

i did this swap in my merk, i used everything from a 2.3 stang. i had to modify the tranny mount and buy an adapter for the driveshaft, it eliminates the guibo joint and allows the mustang solid shaft to bolt up to the merk rear end. 460 machine makes the adapter http://www.460machine.com/DriveShaftAdaptorInfo.html


and the t5 is alot stronger than the t9, i blew 3rd out of the t9 with my stock turbo. the t5 is holding my abuse with the holset just fine
